Hunter & Torijan Wedding | Wedding Photography

Enjoy this beautufi and intimate wedding that took place in downtown Lynchburg at Tresca on 8th.

Some go big, some go small, and some do it just right. Thanks guys for a great evening, and congratulations to you both.

John & Lydia | Engagement Session

Getting to work with good friends on this photo shoot was great, but getting to capture new photos for my first big wedding clients from years past was even better.

John and Lydia, thanks for trusting me years ago to capture your big day and also today for letting me capture your continued journey together.

Can’t say thanks enough.

Enjoy!

Puddleglum - Lots of sweet shots!! Particularly like Lydia’s dress (the color is exquisite), the silhouettes & the one pic with John in the background looking at his watch, and Lydia in the foreground!! Just lover-ly!

Williams & Morris Wedding | Wedding Photography

We headed up the road to Madison, VA to capture Hillary and Brian’s beautiful wedding at the Sweely Estate & Winery.

I loved the brides dress, her pick in flowers and the back drop. They were all just stunning to work with.

I also did a first at this wedding, and that was the big crowd photo shaped as a heart. I have been asked lots of things. That one was a first for me, and it turned out great.

Thanks for having us along to capture your big day. Congratulations to you both.

William and Morris Engagement | Lynchburg Engagement Session

I love our engagement sessions as we always try to have as much fun as possible while also getting some downright amazing images.

Good thing I am not a UVA fan, as Hillary rolled up sporting a Hokie scarf for our photo shoot.

As long as you show up for the shoot with a good attitude, that’s all that matters to me.

Thanks for a fun session guys. It has been great working together.

Mad Men Inspired Anniversary Shoot | Family Photography

I always enjoy shooting anniversary photos for couples, but I’d have to say this was the best one yet.

This Mad Men inspired anniversary shoot was definitely one of a kind.

Not only was it a great session, but it is always fun hanging out with my sister and her husband.

Creative juices flow through this family like crazy, so when my sis told me her idea, I was all over it.

Well, put on some 60′s music and get ready to enjoy this fun session.

Happy Anniversary, and I love you guys.

P.S. See if you can get why we had ice cream and pickles in the shoot.

And I sure do LOVE the people in these photo’s …not to mention the ones behind the scenes! …and oh by the way…there’s another hint in the pictures…has something to do with the baking ingredients!hmm!

Sydnor & Dunevant Engagement | Engagement Session

Let me just say if you have never been to the “T-Room”, you may miss out on the funny parts of this engagement session.

Needless to say we had a great time, and I totally enjoyed working with these two.

I am not sure what was more fuzzy … the dog or Brett’s vest in some of these shots.

What I love doing is setting different moods in my photos and coming away with a mix of differnt looks when I am done.

I love the mix we were able to accomplish on this session, and I am looking forward to the wedding next year.

Total rock stars … that is what I had on my hands with these two.

Casting Call!!

We are casting for our February 20th photo shoot and also other shoots throughout 2012 for our 2013 issue. Please let us know if you can make it on the 20th (all day, from 8:30am-6pm). Our casting session is going to be in the evening on Thursday, January 26th, so be sure that you can make it then. We will have you try on a few things along with taking a few photos that evening.

You have until Tuesday, January 24th to get your information to us.

We are excited about our upcoming sessions, and we would love to have you involved. Below is the information…

About this time last year we were also asking for models for an upcoming shoot, and it’s that time of year once again.

We are looking for one female and one male models for this fun shoot, so if you like getting all dolled up (girl speak, here) and having fun in front of the camera, then let us know!! This is unpaid, but you will be in an editorial feature for clutch, a bride’s guide to have and to hold, and featured on the Hill City Bride blog.

We are specifically looking for one female of any ethnicity that is at least 5’6″. For the male, we are looking for someone who is at least 5’10″ of any ethnicity. We would prefer that you be in or near Lynchburg (yes, attending college in Lynchburg is ok!).

No previous experience of any kind is necessary (although we would love to know if you), and all you have to do is send two photos (a headshot and a full body shot) of yourself with your specs (just age, height and clothing size) by January 18th. Email the photos along with your contact information (name, email and phone number) to info@hillcitybride.com, and you will be notified if you are chosen to come to our casting call.

Hopefully that is simple enough, and we are REALLY looking forward to hearing from you!
