Frank Hardy & Nancy Drew | Editorial Shoot for Clutch Magazine

Well, once again a group of us from Hill City Bride teamed up to do an editorial photo shoot, and this time it was brought to life for the pages of the brand new magazine, clutch, the bride’s guide to have and to hold. Many of us grew up reading the mysteries of both Frank Hardy and Nancy Drew, and what would be more fun than a love story entwining the two of them?

Jennifer Prince of Hill City Bride wrote, “As soon as I was introduced to my first Nancy Drew book as a young girl, I was hooked. As the star of stories filled with suspense and anticipation, Nancy was level headed, smart and resourceful, much like her male counterpart, Frank Hardy of The Hardy Boys mysteries. Just like a thrilling novel, love can hold the same secrets of the unknown while causing feelings of intrigue. So, armed with the memories of staying up late at night to read the children’s mysteries and a love for books, I propose a twist of fate… a secret unlocked within the City of Seven Hills. Meet our Frank and Nancy, whose life together begins when the books debuted in the 1930s, as they play out their story at the Old Jones Memorial Library in the historic city of Lynchburg, Virginia.”

We had a fun day setting up and shooting, but it also happened to be the ONLY major snow day we had in Lynchburg. Schools were canceled, but our show went on.

As a fun sidebar, our “Frank” and “Nancy” are a real life couple who have since become engaged since the photo shoot took place. We like to think that our photo shoot had a little something to do with sealing the deal for them.

Ok, now on to these wonderful images. Of course I photographed them, but it took a team of people behind the scenes to create something amazing for me to capture. We will roll credits at the end, but for now… enjoy!

HIS Vision Promo Video | Cinematography

I am really excited to be sharing this promo video we produced for The HIS Vision Project.

This was my second mission trip with this group but my first time to Haiti.

Our mission was to truly see what the need was for bringing eye care to Haitians in Haiti.

What we found to be true was they are in great need and The HIS Vision Project is now working to bring a permanent eye clinic to the Cap Haitian area.

It does not take a lot to help those in Haiti so i encourage you to check out the link above and video below to see how you can help out in a small way.

Please pass this video on to others you may think would like to help serve, give or just encourage this organization.

Thanks for taking the time to check out this post.

Jennifer - You did SUCH a great job!! It was nice to hear you narrate it since you actually experienced the trip, and it is such a wonderful cause. Kudos all around.

We’re expecting our 2nd child next month! | Maternity Photography

As a photographer I get to document so many people’s lives, but sometimes there is little time to document what is going on in my own life.

I had a great time working with my beautiful wife on our second maternity session together.

We look forward to celebrating the arrival of our baby girl next month.

Enjoy this post and if you have questions about our maternity sessions, just contact our office.
