Day After Sessions are all about taking the time you don’t get on the wedding day to capture the bride and groom in a relaxed setting.
I rarely get more than 15-20 minutes with a couple on their own to capture images of them together on their wedding day.
This kind of session is perfect for the couple that just wants that special shoot without the hustle of all that the wedding day entails.
It was great catching up with these two again and capturing their pure romance.

I told you that we would be seeing Betsy and Matt again very soon.
The knot has not even been officially tied, and we have already done a Trash the Dress session.
We hit the open waters of Smith Mountain Lake to capture some stunning images of this easy-to-photograph couple. To wrap up our shoot there was only one thing left to do and that was to trash that dress. I think our Virginia red clay is going to stay in that dress this time around.
After all that fun in the mud, it was time to clean off with a little wakeboarding. Here is a first for me with both the bride and the groom up at the same time out on the water.
I have the coolest job ever. Ok, time to enjoy this post.

I really love this first image from my engagement session with Betsy and Matt.
This couple enjoys smiling and having a good time together, so I had to work hard to get some of my serious and sultry faced photos from these two.
We had a fun afternoon together jumping around town and finding some cool new spots to use.
You will be seeing more of these guys very soon, but until then enjoy some of my favorites from our time together.

Over the summer I had the honor of working with a ministry group that was heading to the little Island of St. Thomas.
Humbly I Serve Ministries conducted a week long VBS for a group of local kids, and they asked Stone Blue to join this adventure and document what they were doing on the island.
Not only is the organization offering a much needed outreach to the kids, but it is meeting the needs of families as well.
At the end of the week we had over 60 kids coming to join in on the music, games and fun crafts.
Being able to donate my time and talents to a group like this was a real blessing, and I hope to work with them again.

I bet when you turned 16 you only wished you had a party this cool.
This was a true VIP event, and Stone Blue was there to capture every part of the event.

This “Day After” session with Nathan and Katie in the Big Apple was, well, let’s just say jaw dropping.
It was fun to see a crowd draw to watch us work and see the couple work the camera everywhere we went.
Nathan and Katie played it so cool even though bystanders were asking to have their photos taken with the couple … how is that for instant celebrity?
I think the photos speak for themselves, so I will just let you sit back, enjoy, and let them do the rest of the talking for me.

This is so cool. What awesome photos!…..times square with the crowd-wow-every pic was great. Saw them in the window of the B&W building…were they in the colored phote of the buildings that said Bowling green?When did this take place?

I am excited to share this wedding post with you today from a recent wedding we completed up in New York.
You might remember Katie and Nathan from a few months back and their fun engagement session.
Not only was the couple just wonderful to work with but I wanted to be adopted in to the brides family yes they were that cool.
It really is so great to see two people coming together with the love and support of their family behind them.
